1/2 cup cherry juice, drained from can, 3/4 cup sugar, 4 T flour or 2 1/2 T cornstarch, dash of salt & 2 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, flour or cornstarch and salt in sauce pan. Gradually add cherry juice while stirring. Bring to boil while stirring continuously. After thickened, stir in 1/4 cup sugar and butter. Pour over 1 cup drained, tart, cherries in unbaked pie shell. Add pastry for top and bake 45 minutes at 400 degrees. -

(For 9" cherry pie) - 3/4 cup cherry juice - drained from can , 1 1/4 cup sugar - reserve 1/4 cup to add to thickened mixture as in above directions, dash of salt, 3 T butter, 6 T flour or 3 1/2 T cornstarch, 2 cans tart cherries.
