1 CUP WARM MILK 1/4 CUP LUKEWARM WATER 1 TEASPOON SUGAR 1 PACKAGE ACTIVE DRY YEAST 1 EGG 3 TABLESPOONS SUGAR (ADDITIONAL) 1/2 POUND BUTTER, SOFT POWDERED SUGAR
Mix together one cup warm milk, 1/4 cup lukewarm water and 1 teaspoon sugar. Add 1 package active dry yeast and mix well. Add one egg and 3 tablespoons sugar. Mix well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on flour cake board and work in ½ pound of butter, one quarter of butter at a time. Raise 1 hour. Shape into long roll (such as jelly roll size). Bake in preheated 350º oven until brown.
