1/2 c butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
3 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp ginger
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1 c canned pumpkin
1 tsp grated lemon peel
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in pumpkin, vanilla, lemon peel and lemon juice. Resift flour with baking powder, salt and spice, blend into butter mixture. Stir in walnuts. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheet, 2 in. a part. Bake at 375 for 12 to 14 minutes. Decorate with butter cream frosting.
