2c. plus 2T. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2c. butter (room temp.)
1 3/4c. sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 squares (1oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
(melted)
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl beat butter and sugar with mixer until fluffy. Beat in eggs until mixture is pale yellow, then add vanilla and chocolate until blended. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing just to blend. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls. Roll in powder sugar. Bake for 12 min. Remove to rack to cool. Store tightly covered up to 3 weeks with wax paper in between layers.
