2 Cans Clams, chopped, drain reserving juice
1 Cup Celery, chopped
1 Cup Onion, chopped
1 Cup Potato, chopped
3/4 Cup Butter
3/4 Cup Flour
1 Qt. Half and Half

Directions:
Directions:
Set clams aside. Put the juice in a 2 quart sauce pan along with the celery, onion and potatoes and enough water to cover vegetables. Bring to a boil and simmer. In a separate 4 quart saucepan melt the butter and whisk in flour until blended; cook about 3 minutes while whisking. Add the half and half. Stir continually until it boils and thickens. Remove from heat and add the clams and vegetable mixture (including the liquid). Stir well, salt, pepper and sugar (about 1 tablespoon) to taste. Don't forget the sugar.
