3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup soft butter or margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 T milk
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients and cut in butter until fine. Add other ingredients. Roll out on floured surface to 1/8" thick. Cut in shapes and bake at 400 for 5-8 min. The dough will handle better if it is chilled.
