6-7 tart apples
1 cup sugar
2 T flour
2 T butter
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
Pastry for 2 crust 9" pie

Directions:
Directions:
Peel apples and slice thin. Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt. Mix with apples. Line 9" pie plate with pastry and fill with apple mixture, dot with butter. Adjust tip crust and seal edges. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 400 oven for 50 minutes. (may use 2 cans sliced pie apples, well drained)
