2 c. torn head lettuce 2 c. torn curly endive 2 c. torn romaine lettuce 6 Tbsp. mayonnaise 1 med. red or white onion thinly sliced 1 1/2 c. peas 1 c. julienne strips Swiss cheese 6 slices bacon, cooked and crisp and crumbled 1 tsp. sugar
Place 1/3 of salad greens in bowl and dot with several Tbsp. of mayonnaise. Top with 1/3 onion slices and sprinkle with 1 tsp. sugar. Dust with salt and fresh ground pepper. Add 1/3 of cheese and peas. Repeat layers. Do not toss. cover and chill for 2 hours. Just before serving top with bacon and toss.
