1 head of cabbage purple onion sliced in rings 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. vinegar 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 3/4 c. oil 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp prepared mustard
Place layer of cabbage in a large bowl and cover with layer of onions. Alternate until cabbage is gone. Cover with sugar. Bring vinegar, salt, celery seed and mustard to a boil. Add oil. Pour over sugared cabbage and cover with a plate. Refrigerate 3-4 hours. Mix gently and serve.
