Caramel Corn Recipe

1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup butter, (not margarine)
1/4 cup dark brown karo syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp baking soda
6 cups popped popcorn
4 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 cups Cherrios cereal
Almonds (optional)

Bring first three ingredients to boil in a sauce pan, stirring contantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Mixture will get frothy. Pour over popcorn, Chex, Cheerios and almonds and gently stir to coat. Place in baking pan and bake for 1 hour at 250; stirring every 15 minutes.

Cool and store in an airtight container.

Can also add M&M's after baking.
