Pumpkin Bread Recipe

First Ingredients:
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2/3 cup warm water
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder.

Second ingredients:
3 cups sifted flour
3 cups sugar

Mix first ingredients together well with a large spoon until well blended.

Slowly add flour and sugar and mix until there are no lumps.

Pour into greased coffee cans or bread pans (see my note.) Makes 3 loaves.

This was a great thanksgiving classroom activity that both Alex and I did in 5th grade. Our bread was baked in coffee cans that we then decorated as turkeys to give to our parents for Thanksgiving. My mom still has our Turkey cans...
