1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable
1 large egg; lightly beaten
2 tbsp. honey (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 Coat 10 inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray.
Combine all dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Add milk, oil and egg and honey. Stir with wooden spoon until all dry ingredients are just moistened.
Pour batter into prepared skillet.
Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 15-20 minutes.

If you do not have a cast iron skillet, you can use a round cake pan might have to adjusts cooking time.
