1c.(6oz) semi-sweet choc. chips
1/2c. butter, softened
1c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4c. flour (all purpose)
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4c. walnuts (optional)

Cookie Dough Layer:
1/2c. butter, softened
1/2c. brown sugar
1/4c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1c. all purpose flour
1c (6oz) semi sweet choc. chips

1. In a microwave safe bowl, melt choc. chips. Cool slightly.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in melted choc. chips.
3. Combine flour and baking soda; add to batter and stir in walnuts if desired.

4. Spread onto a greased 13x9 in baking pan.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 16-22 mins. or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
COOKIE DOUGH LAYER:
6. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in milk and vanilla, gradually add flour.
Stir in choc. chips drop by tbsps. over cooled brownies and carefully spread over the top of cooled brownies.
7. Cut into squares and store in the refrigerator.
