1 pkg tostadas or fry your own corn tortillas
1 or 2 cans of refried beans or make your own
Grated cheese of your choice
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomato
Chopped onion
Chopped cilantro
Chopped jalapeņo or serrano chili
Salt & pepper
Juice of one lime
Avocado sliced

Directions:
Make a salad using the lettuce, tomato, onion cilantro chili salt, pepper avocado and lime juice. Set aside. Turn on oven to broil. Spread beans on to fried tortillas, sprinkle with lots of cheese put them on a cookie sheet. Place under broiler until cheese melts. Remove from oven when cheese is melted. At this point you can add left over fajitas, picadillo, last nights roasted chicken or ham. Place chalupas on individual serving plates and top with the salad mix.
