Ingredients:
3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips or 6 oz. finely chopped chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together first. Then add all of your dry ingredients. Aunt Evelyn always adds the chocolate at the end. Cut the dough into 4 equal parts (about 10 ounces per piece). Do not knead the heck out of it!!!! Roll them out and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 25 - 30 minutes. Take them out of the oven and let them sit a couple of minutes. Then cut them into strips. Put them back on the cookie sheet and into the oven again for a few minutes to give them a crispier texture.
