potatoes (approximate 10-12) ham (graded)(small or left over's) onion(chopped), 1 tsp garlic powder or salt, 1 tsp onion salt or powder, 1 tsp celery salt, 5 c. milk, 1/2 c. bacon bits (if desired but not needed)

peel & cut potatoes into bite size pieces, clean & put into large pan to boil, barely cover potatoes with water, let boil until potatoes are tender, turn to simmer add all other ingredients, let simmer for at least 1/2 hour thicken with milk & flour/corn starch mixture let thicken ------------eat
