1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 lg clove garlic minced
1 1/2 tb fresh basil ot 1 1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp fresh marjoram or a generous pinch of dried
1 large loaf of Italian or French bread split in half lengthwise
3 oz Swiss or Gruyere cheese shredded ( I use Mozzarella)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter,garlic,herbs,salt and pepper(to taste) in a small saucepan and heat until butter is melted. Pour over cut side of bread and then sprinkle wirh cheeses. Wrap in foil and bake about 20 min at 350. Can save and cook later.
Before ready to serve place bread in oven and turn temp to 375. Heat until bread is hot and crusty about 20 min. Slice diagonally.
