"When I'm at a Chinese restaurant having a hard time with chopsticks, I always hope that there's a Chinese kid at an American restaurant somewhere who's struggling mightily with a fork."--Rick Budinich
2 c flour 1 egg yolk(beaten into 1/2 c milk) 1 T salt 2/3 c margarine
Filling: 5 c sliced apples 1 1/2 c sugar 2 T flour 2 T butter cinnamon
Crust: Mix like pie crust - pat 1/2 of mixture in 11 x 8 pan. Add filling. Cover with dough that has been rolled to fit pan. Beat egg white slightly and brush over top. I usually roll the bottom crust, also. It is a little tougher dough, but that is what distinguishes the apple slices from a pie.
