4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp flavoring 1 c boiling milk in which 2 Tbsp butter have been dissolved. 2 c flour sifted together with 2 tsp baking powder.
Beat eggs until real light. Add sugar, salt, and flavoring. Beat in milk (with dissolved butter). Add-flour sifted together with baking powder. Pour quickly into pan and bake.
This is a recipe that Grandma had written on the back of an envelope dated 1958. "Anytime Mother made an Angel Food cake she would use the yolks for a Sponge Cake. I really liked the Sponge Cake." Clyde
