1 good sized cabbage shredded 1 nice sied carrot shredded 1 pepper chopped 1 tsp salt
Brine: 1 c vinegar 1/4 c water 1/4 tsp mustard seed 1 tsp celery seed 2 c sugar
Mix cabbage, carrots, pepper and salt together and let it set for an hour. Squeeze out moisture. Boil the brine mixture for an hour. Cool to luke warm. Then mix just enough to moisten the cabbage mixture. Most of the time you don't need all the brine. Pack into family size plastic bags and freeze.
