2 eggs
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp baking powder (omit for spaetzle)
3/4 cup of water
2 tbsp of cold milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, salt, and baking powder in mixing bowl. Crack two eggs into a smaller mixing bowl, add milk, and whip with a fork till golden and blended. Pour over flour and add mix, adding water a bit at a time until dough forms a sticky ball. If too wet, simply add a bit of flour. If too dry, add more water a bit at a time.

To make large dumplings, drop large spoonfuls into kettle of boiling, salted water.

To make spaetzle, use a spaetzle maker of colander with large holes and squeeze out dough through holes, forming tiny dumplings. You may also spread dough on flat plate and cut out tiny bits with a butter knife, this takes forever.

Simmer for 4 minutes and then drain. Coat in melted butter. Serve as a side our pour over your favorite meat and gravy dish.
