10 medium sized mushrooms, about 1/2 lb.
6 T. softened butter
1 clove garlic minced or pressed
3 T. shredded jack cheese
2 T. dry white or red wine
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. fine cracker or bread crumbs
seasoning to taste

Directions:

Remove stems. Melt 2 T. of butter and brush the caps well. Stir together the remaining butter, garlic, and cheese. Mix in wine, soy sauce, and crumbs. Place mushrooms cavity up on a rimmed baking sheet. Evenly mound the filling into the caps, pressing lightly. Broil 6 inches away from the heat until lightly browned, about 3 minutes.

I would double or triple this recipe if serving a large group. I personally use roasted chopped garlic in a jar; pepper jack cheese; white wine; and Italian bread crumbs. It is easier to stuff the mushrooms if you put the mixture in a ziploc or pastry bag and pipe the mixture into the mushrooms.
