1/4 cup bacon drippings
6 tart apples, cored and sliced, peeling on
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
Dash of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter with bacon drippings in a large skillet. Place apples evenly over bottom of pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice, brown sugar, salt, and spices-in that order- over apples. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 mins until apples are tender.
