1 lb elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoons bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni.

In large saucepan, melt butter; add onion; cook until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; blend in milk. Cook until thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted.

Combine macaroni and cheese mixture and pour into greased 2 quart casserole. Top with bread crumbs.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
