1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla

Combine first 4 ingredients until crumbly; set aside.

Blend together remaining ingredients. Separate 1 cup of batter and add 6 oz of melted chocolate chips.

Alternate light and dark batters by spoonfuls in greased 13 x 9 pan. Cut through to marble.

Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
