1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 oz chocolate; melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon orange peel

In bowl, cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt and milk.

Transfer 1/2 batter to a separate bowl.

Beat the chocolate and cinnamon into one portion of batter and stir the orange peel into the other.

Alternately drop large spoonfuls of the batter into a lightly greased bundt pan. When all batter is in the pan, insert a knife and run it once around the pan to swirl the batters together.

Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.

Cool 5 minutes; remove cake from pan and place on rack to cool.
