2 pints (4 cups) strawberries, crushed
4 cups sugar
1 box Sure-Jell fruit pectin (1.75 ounces)
cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and discard stems. Crush berries with a potato masher, makes about 2 cups mashed berries. Add sugar and stir. Let stand 10 minutes; stir occasionally. Add pectin and cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil on high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir pectin into fruit and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes or until no longer grainy. Pour into containers, leaving -inch space at the top for expansion during freezing. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours until set. Can refrigerate. Thaw in refrigerator. Makes 5 cups.
May use blueberries, peaches or other fruits and berries. See insert in Sure-Jell box.
