½ cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed in cup
¼ cup milk
2½ cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar; boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and continue stirring until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Cool. Add confectioners’ sugar, beating well after each addition until thick enough to spread. This will frost 8 or 9-inch layer cake. This icing freezes well.
