3 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 pound butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
4 eggs
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour three 9" round cake pans or one large pan.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and almond extract. Thoroughly beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour (in 4 additions) alternating with milk, mixing until just smooth after each addition. Pour into round or square cake pans (or into a rectangular sheet pan) and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

This is my favorite, moist, no-fail yellow cake recipe!!!! I usually make it in one large sheet pan. Perfect for a pineapple upside down cake.
