4 egg whites 1 1/2 C sugar 1 t. cream of tartar Dash of salt 5 t. cold water 2 t. vanilla
Combine all ingredients (except vanilla) in top of double boiler with mixer till blended. THEN place over simmering water. Beat with mixer on high over heat constantly for 7 minutes or until in firm peaks. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Use on any cake, but especially good on Devils Food!!
