1/2 C margarine
1/2 C shortening (Crisco)
1 C white sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 C flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 C oatmeal
1 C coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugars add eggs and cream thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 350 10 minutes.

I use a cookie scoop when I make these cookies, makes uniform cookies. These cookies have always made a hit wherever I have served them.
