1 Pkg. King of Beans Soup Mix
2 Qts. Fresh Water
1 Clove Garlic
1 Lrg. Onion, chopped
1/2 Lb. Ground Beef or Hamhock
1(16oz.) Can Tomatoes
Juice of 1 Lemon
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Wash package of soup mix until rinse water is clear. Cover with water and 1 teaspoon salt. Soak overnight or (3 hours). Drain and add the remaining ingredients. Cook for at least 4 hours. Variations: Add 2 teaspoon mexican seasoning or add diced carrots or other vegetables.
For crockpot use: Wash as directed, add water and cook on low overnight. In the morning add remaining ingredients and cook on low till dinner.
