1 tsp salt (canning)
1 tsp sugar
cabbage

Directions:
Directions:
Cut cabbage fine. Put in quart jar. Pack. Put salt and sugar on top. Pour boiling water over it and seal. Set in container while it works. Ready in about 2 weeks.

This is easy and it makes the best kraut. Serve with smoked ribs, sausage, pork chops or hotdogs. A side either mashed potatoes or a favorite of our family's is knepfla. Our grandsons are a great help when it comes time to make this.
