2 c. peeled, sliced peaches
1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sliced peaches and 1 c. sugar and set aside.

Heat oven to 350. Place butter in 2-quart baking dish. Set in oven to melt butter. Combine remaining 1/2 c. sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over melted butter, but do not stir. Put sugared peaches on top of batter, again without stirring. Bake about 1 hour, until batter has risen to top and is crisp and brown.
