1/2 Cup sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
Additional cinnamon
8-10 large granny smith apples
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
6 Tbls butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Add lemon juice. Peel and slice apples and mix well into the above mixture. Pour into a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle apples with additional cinnamon. Mix sugar, flour, salt, and butter with pastry cutter until forms small balls. Spread over the apples and pat down. Bake @ 375 for 45 minutes.
NOTE: I double the apple mixture and triple the topping. You can also top with chopped walnuts.
