Toffee Nut Bars Recipe

1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Sugar, brown
1 C Flour
1/4 t Salt

2 Eggs
1/2 t Salt
2 T Flour
1 C Sugar, brown
1 T Vanilla
1 t Baking powder
1 C Coconut
1 C Nuts, walnuts, pecans, cashews

For bottom layer melt butter and mix all ingredients together. Press into 8x10 pan. Bake this for 10 minutes.
Beat eggs well, add sugar and mix. Add all other ingredients and spread over bottom layer.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350F.
Cool, cut in squares and serve.

This has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember. Grandma Nettie always made sure she had these on hand if I was coming over.
