3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup walnut pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. In separate bowl, cream butter with sugars. Add eggs and vanilla to butter and sugar, then mix slowly with flour mixture. Combine just until blended. Add chocolate chips and walnut pieces. Mix thoroughly. Form balls with batter in hand and compress tightly. Drop on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 7 minutes, rotate pan and bake an additional 7 minutes.
