2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together and beat well. Pack dough into your spritz cookie press. Force dough through the press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate the cookies as desired. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes or until the edges of cookies are firm, but not brown.

Triple recipe to make 1 batch of poinsettas, 1 batch of wreaths and 1 batch of trees. To make chocolate spritz, add1/4 cup cocoa. To make brown sugar sprintz, add 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and take out the powdered sugar. To make almond cream spritz, add 1-3 oz package of cream cheese, softened and reduce sugar to 1/2 cup. Add finely chopped almonds to the top of each spritz.
