1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 small bag chocolate chips
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, soda, and salt. Sift flour and add it with the soda and salt. Add the rest of the ingredients and preheat the oven to 350. Drop by teaspoon unto baking sheets. Bake, just watch, no time given for baking given.
