1 lb ground beef
1 15 oz can kidney beans
1 pack taco seasoning mix
shredded lettuce
tomato chopped
onion chopped
green pepper chopped (optional)
cucumber sliced (optional)
sour cream
picante sauce
Catalina dressing
cheddar cheese shredded
Tostitos Restaurant style corn chips

Directions:
Directions:
brown ground beef, add taco seasoning, and water according to package directions, simmer, add beans, simmer for about 10 minutes, add water if needed for desired consistency. now you are ready to build your salad. This is the way I like mine: layer lettuce in plate, add tomatoes, onions, pepper cucucumber, then meat mixture, cheese, picante sauce, put chips in hands and break up into small pieces, sprinkle over salad, then catalina dressing, sour cream if you like.

This can go in any order you like it. everyone at my house does it different. some have meat first, some do not like all the veggies so they only put what they like but....... they all love taco salad.
