1 head lettuce

Directions:
Pull off the funky outside layers of the lettuce head and discard. Pull apart all the rest of the layers and break up into smaller pieces by hand. Wash thoroughly in water, then spin as dry as possible, yes, a salad spinner is a necessity. Then lay the salad leaves all out on paper towels to thoroughly dry. Several hours is ok. Then you may bag them up and refrigerate.
