Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/4 C corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (I like Ghiradelli Dark)

Butter Flaky Pie Crust: (or 1 unbaked 9 in. pie shell)
1 1/4 C flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C butter, chilled and diced
1/4 C ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, corn syrup, salt, vanilla and sugar; mix well. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour into pie shell. Bake in a 375 degree oven about 55 minutes or until pie is set. Cool. Top with whipped cream.
Crust: (This makes a THICK and delicious crust - you may scale it down or stretch it to do 2 pies or a double crust for another pie.) In large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in water, 1 T at a time, until mixture forms into a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Roll dough out to fit a 9 inch pie plate. Place crust in pie plate. Press dough evenly into the bottom and sides of the pie plate.
