4 c. Flour
1 T Yeast
1 1/4 c. Butter
3 Egg Yolks
1/2 c. Sour Cream
1 t Vanilla

Filling
3 Egg Whites
1 c. Sugar
2 1/2 oz Chopped Dates
1 c. Chopped Nuts
1 t Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Dough: Combine flour and yeast. Cut in butter. Add egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla. Divide in 6 or 8 equal portions. Chill 1 hour to overnight for easier handling.
Filling: Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar gradually beating until stiff and glossy. Fold in dates, nuts and vanilla.

Roll portion of dough into circle as for pie crust on pastry cloth dusted with powdered sugar. Cut in 12 wedges. Place rounded teaspoonful of filling at wide end and roll up. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar while warm, or frost with confectioners butter icing.
