2 lbs. Chuck Roast (I'm sure it could be bigger)
1-1 oz. Pkg. Dry Onion Soup Mix
1-3/4 oz. Pkg. Brown Gravy Mix
1-1/2 Cups Apple Juice.

Directions:
Directions:
For Crockpot: Place beef in crockpot. Mix onion soup mix, brown gravy mix and apple juice and pour over roast and cook on low for 5 to 8 hours.

For Oven: Mix together the apple juice, onion soup mix, and brown gravy mix in a casserole dish. Add beef and cook covered for 2-1/2 to 3 hours at 325.

I don't cook much and don't even know what a chuck roast is. I use a roast with little fat. I also put in the crockpot a little bit of tapioca and it makes the gravy a little thicker. Rosenlof favorite.
