In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, brown sugar and
granulated sugars, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla until well
Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Mix just until well
blended. Cover and refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease baking sheet. Shape dough
into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Using
the tines of a ford dipped in flour, lightly press on each dough
ball to flatten slightly and make a pattern of parallel
indentations. Sprinkle lightly with sugar.
Bake until the bottoms are golden brown, 12-15 minutes.
