1 3/4 c. small elbow
2 2/4 c. 1/2 in. shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese (about 10 oz.)
2 T. plus 2 tsp. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 1/3 c. half and half
1 1/3 c. whipping cream
1/3 c. sour cream
2 large eggs
3/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly butter 13x9 glass baking dish. Cook macaroni in large sauce pan of boiling salted water just until tender but still form to bite. Drain pasta. Transfer to prepared dish. Mix 1/14 c. of shredded cheese.
Whisk flour, salt, mustard, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and nutmeg together in medium bowl until no lumps remain. Gradually whisk in half and half, then whipping cream and sour cream. Add eggs and Worcestershire sauce; whisk to blend. Pour over macaroni mixture; stir to blend. Sprinkle remaining cheese over (1 1/4 c.) Bake until just set around edges but sauce is still liquid in center, about 25 minutes. Remove from oven; let stand 10 minutes to thicken slightly (sauce will be creamy).

This dish was originally served at the Horseradish Grill in Georgia, as a side dish to pork chops, but it became so popular, diners ordered it when they al plate of fries in front of them.
