Mix together thoroughly:
1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together & stir in:
2 1/4 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Chill dough. Roll into 1" balls. Place 2 1/2 " apart on baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 10 to 13 min, until set, NOT brown. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes 4 dozen.
