COOKIE DOUGH:
2 cups Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted & cooled
3/4 cup sour cream
FROSTING:
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
dash of salt
1 tsp. instant coffee powder
1 tsp. vanilla
(May need a little milk)

Preheat oven to 350
Set aside cookie sheets
Cookie Dough: in medium bowl, stir together flour, soda & salt; set aside. In large bowl, add butter, brown sugar; beat until combined. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Mix in chocolate. Add flour mixture, & sour cream, alternately with chocolate mixture; beating on low after each addition. Drop by rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 min. until edges are firm.
FROSTING:
Mix all ingredients in large bowl except powdered sugar. Mix well; add powdered sugar last and mix well until light and fluffy. (may need to add a little milk) Ice cooled cookies. Bake for 10 min. until edges are just firm.

The cookies are a hit with the Mocha Icing. They freeze well.
