First layer:
Crush 1/2 package of Oreo cookies, mix with 1/4 c melted butter. Press into 9x13 pan.
Second layer:
1/2 gal vanilla ice cream, softened and spread on top of the Oreo's. Cover with salted peanuts. Freeze till firm.
Third layer:
In saucepan, mix one large can evaporated milk, one cup sugar, 1/2 c butter, two sqs. un-sweeted baking chocolate. Mix together and boil slowly for 10 min. stirring constantly. Let cool and pour over ice cream layer.
Fourth layer:
One lg Cool Whip spread on top. Sprinkle with more salted peanuts.

This tastes good on a hot summer day.
