2 c. sugar 1/2 c. Karo Syrup 1/4 c. water 2 egg whites stiffly beaten 1 tsp. vanilla
Bring sugar, syrup and water to a boil. Boil to soft ball stage, pour 1/3 very slowly into beaten egg whites. Boil remaining syrup to hard ball stage. Pour slowly in egg whites. Beat mixture adding vanilla until it drops from spoon and is not glossy. Beat on high speed. Takes a long time. Must have patience and a very good mixer.
